Agamit Medical was founded on February 1st 2008 as a portfolio company of Meytav incubator. The founder is Prof. Gad Keren. The company is developing devices and solutions for patients suffering from Mitral regurgitation. Sector and field of activity Medical devices, cardiology The technology Mitral valve regurgitation is developed following changes in the mitral valve leaflets, chords, papillary muscles or the annulus ring. This is many times accompanied or a result of MI. Agamit has developed a series of devices that mechanically modify the Mitral valve geometry in order to cause it to function without the regurgitation. These devices could be introduced either percutaneously or in an open heart surgery and can provide both acute and long term solution.
